Characteristics of symphonic metal bands

Symphonic metal is known for mixing metal with gothic music (that’ll lead to gothic metal), classical music, and opera music. The band consists of guitarists, vocals, a drummer, a synthesizer, and a whole orchestra at the back. Moreover, their vocals are frontrunners who are also opera artists who have lots of experience with opera music and some of them have experience with playing certain types of instruments. Furthermore, nearly all the bands work with each other and they mostly consist of female vocals as frontrunners.

Their successes

Most of the well-known symphonic metal bands vocals are actually successful vocal coaches, opera singers, and metal frontrunners. Even more, world-renowned symphonic metal band Nightwish has made a cover in two opera classics: Phantom of the Opera and Beauty and the Beast with the frontrunner Tarja Turunen and the guitarist and the second vocal Marko Tapani Hietala. Despite frontrunners changed dramatically in most symphonic metal bands, they continue to be successful and their performance standard is not lower than their peak standard.
